The Cisco PVDM3-16 is a 16-Channel High-Density Packet Voice and Video Digital Signal Processor (DSP) module, designed to enhance Cisco Unified Communications systems within the Cisco 2900 and 3900 Series Integrated Services Routers Generation 2 (ISR G2) portfolio. This module supports digital and analog voice connections, conferencing, transcoding, and transrating using a single integrated DSP image, delivering higher density and processing power than its PVDM2 predecessor for rich-media voice and video applications.
