The Cisco GLC-TE is a 1000BASE-T copper SFP transceiver module, providing Gigabit Ethernet connectivity over standard copper (Cat5e/Cat6) cabling via an RJ-45 connector. As the official extended-temperature successor to the End-of-Sale GLC-T (discontinued June 2017), this hot-swappable module delivers identical 1000BASE-T performance while supporting a significantly wider industrial operating temperature range, making it well-suited for enterprise access networks, campus environments, and telecom/data center deployments requiring copper connectivity through an SFP interface.
